The fear of being touched.

Chiraptophobia is the fear of being touched. This could make going to school, work, or anywhere public very hard. This can result when something very tramatic has happened such as being sexually or physically abused. This is a serious phobia where people are actually scared to not have enough space for themselves. There is more names then just this one for this fear such as aphephobia, haphephobia, haphophobia, hapnophobia, haptephobia, haptophobia, thixophobia. This phobia can cause heart papitation, dizziness, rapid heart rate, and hyperventalation.

Chirophobia is the fear of hands which directly links to the fear of being touched. This phoia can refer directly to being scared of your own hands. Medication will usually not be given for this phobia but you may be able to go to counceling and learn how to realise your hands cannot be taken from you and that it is something you have to live with.  http://www.changethatsrightnow.com/fear-of-hands/online-test/ This is a test you can take to see if you are afraid of hands!

Is it like a fear of germs on the hands or just hands in general??????

Just hands in general, just being freaked out by the way hands move or look.

This is definitely interesting, that would be crazy to be scared of your own hands and have to go to counseling. Very interesting!

The fear of hands seems really strange, but I can totally see people having a fear of being touched if something traumatic happened.
